WHAT VERSION DO I HAVE?

You can check the Operating System version of your ClassPad by tapping Menu at the top left of the screen and selecting Version. If the operating system of your unit has not been recently updated, you will first need to update to the 3.0 version. Once you have done that, you may proceed to update your hand held to the most recent version.

OS 3.06.1000 - LATEST VERSION AS OF OCTOBER 2011

HOW DO I UPDATE MY CLASSPAD HANDHELD TO THE LATEST OPERATING SYSTEM?

PLEASE NOTE: You will require your ClassPad USB cord included in box at purchase.

1. Go to the following link: http://edu.casio.com/products/cp_soft/cp_agreement.html
2. Read software licence agreement.
3. You can either accept or not accept. Not accepting will terminate the updating process. Accepting will take you to the following page.
4. Under ClassPad 300 series tick OS update for ver. 3.06.1000
5. Go to the bottom of the page and click next
6. Click Version 3.06.1000
7. A new window will open
8. Double click on the file
9. Wait while a new window loads
10.  InstallShield wizard will open
11. Click next
12. Read terms and conditions
13. You can either accept or not accept. Not accepting will terminate the updating process. Accepting will take you to the following page.
14. Click install
15. Plug in your USB cord to the computer and the other end into your ClassPad
16. Click Yes to back up and restore
17. Files will begin to copy

ON YOUR CLASSPAD TAP:

1. OK
2. Link
3. Install
4. OS Update

DO NOT UNPLUG CLASSPAD FOR ANY REASON. If you are on a laptop, make sure it is charging. If connection is interrupted during update your ClassPad will crash and be irreparable.

Refer back to your ClassPad.

1. Tap OK
2. Update will begin to load – a green progress bar will appear on your computer screen.
3. ClassPad will restart itself
4. Align ClassPad screen
5. Set ClassPad settings to your preference (We suggest setting Power Save Mode to 1 hour, in order to preserve battery life).
6. Once your ClassPad has defaulted back to the main menu, scroll to the bottom of the page 
7. Tap Communications
8. On the taskbar, tap arrow pointing to the left – this will restore your data
9. Tap Complete

Update is complete

WHAT IF MY OS VERSION IS OLDER THAN 3.0?

You will need to update your operating system to 3.0 before you proceed to 3.06.1000. To do this, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to the following link: http://www.casio.edu.shriro.com.au/secure/leadschools.php
2. Login with the following details:

• Username: leadvictoria
• Password: CP1788pc

3. Download file and save it somewhere it can be easily accessed
4. Open the downloaded file and go into setup.exe
5. Follow the ‘Shield Wizard’ to update your ClassPad  
6. Enter install key: Q6KR-P7BY-YE4CMCXJ-FFXGJQD3N to complete the update to OS 3.0

Please note - the OS 3.0 update file for ClassPad hand-held units, is available on the ClassPad Manager software version 3.0 disk.
