Dogball II - Modelling the bouncing ball
Below is a video outlining a solution answering the questions posed in the video "Dogball - a study of bounce". It is not intended to be the best or only way to answer these questions. It is intended for teacher use only and is only available to "prime school plus" teacher accounts on the Casio Education Australia website. To maintain the integrity of Dogball as an assessment task, teachers are asked to refrain from sharing this video in anyway that would allow it to become freely available to students.

The content below does not utilise the Dogball data. It consists of four mathematical explorations executed using the Spreadsheet and Graph apps of a Casio CG50 graphics calculators. Some of the functionality and behaviour may or may not be of use in tackling the Dogball modelling task, depending on the approach used.

The video below demonstrates the use of the Spreadsheet app of a Casio CG50 AU graphics calculator as a means of graphing bivariate data and generating functional models for such data. This alternative to the Statistics app is of particular use when the data needs to be manipulated or the graphs of partial data sets is required.
